PENSACOLA, Florida (February 22, 2019) Wilbur Martin pins the Purple Heart to his son’s, Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Steven Martin, uniform during a awards ceremony at Naval Hospital Pensacola on Feb. 22. While deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, Steven Martin suffered two concussion within 72 hours from separate improvised explosive device attacks during patrols while assigned to the 1st Marine Division.
