CS gas powder burns in a Bunsen burner inside the confidence chamber aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Jan. 12. CS gas is a riot agent all Marines must face when using the M-50 field protective mask during training. The gas causes severe discomfort, coughing, sneezing, burning of the eyes and skin inflammation.
