Recruits with Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, labels a rifle with their name and platoon number during rifle issue at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 11. The M16-A4 service rifles that were issued have serial numbers signifying which rifle was given to each recruit. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited form the Western Recruiting Region are trained aboard MCRD San Diego. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate May 3.
