YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 7, 2019) The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 2nd Company, 13th Infantry Regiment, participates in Exercise Guard and Protect 2019 with U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s security department, Feb. 7, 2019. The exercise is part of a bilateral agreement between the U.S. and Japanese governments. Fleet Activities Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
