Mr. Tony Sholar, deputy assistant chief of staff for Installations & Environment, Marine Corps Installations-Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, gives his remarks to local media during a tour at the II MEF headquarters building on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 6, 2019. Base leadership extended an invitation for local media outlets to tour the installation, including housing areas and Onslow Beach, to see first-hand how the base is conducting daily operations in a degraded environment and how repairs are progressing nearly 5 months after the storm damaged over 800 buildings on Marine Corps installations in North Carolina.
