ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 29, 2018) The Álvaro de Bazán-class Spanish navy frigate Méndez Núñez (F 104) prepares to pull alongside the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) to perform a replenishment-at-sea exercise. Abraham Lincoln is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 12. The components of CSG 12 embody a “team-of-teams” concept, combining advanced surface, air and systems assets to create and sustain operational capability.
