Lance Cpl. Rodig, 20, a native of Carpentersville, Illinois, graduated from Harry D. Jacobs High School in May 2017 before enlisting in December the same year. Marines with CLB-31, the Logistics Combat Element for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, honed their marksmanship and targeting capabilities during the exercise. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU partnering with the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
