Maj. Gen. Peter J. Talleri follows his shot after teeing off during the Joe Foss Squadron Shootout at Taiyo Golf Course in Okinawa Dec. 12. The tournament was a Marine Corps Aviation Association Joe Foss Squadron fundraiser. All funds raised are used for scholarships for graduating seniors at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa and M.C. Perry in Iwakuni, as well as events like the annual Joe Foss Squadron Awards banquet and maintain the organization. Talleri is the commanding general of MCB Camp Butler and commanding general of Marine Corps Installations Pacific.
