190128-N-ZL062-1193 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 28, 2019) An MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced) with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepares to take off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during night flight operations. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st MEU, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
