U.S. Army Sgt. Robert Marks, a platoon medic serving with Provincial Reconstruction Team Paktika, 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Infantry Division, Task Force Black Lion, scan his sector on top of the Afghan Local Police observation post during Operation Gaboon Viper, Sarobi district, Paktika province, Afghanistan, Dec. 30, 2011.
