A crew member of the last vehicle to leave Iraq holds a coin given by Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III to each member of the crew after crossing the Khabari Border Crossing, Dec. 18, 2011, in recognition of this crew being the last American service members to leave Iraq after nearly 9 years of war. Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division made up the crew of the last vehicle in the last convoy to leave Iraq.
