A black-and-white photograph showing a stenciled directional sign indicating the location of an RFAB (Rapid Fabrication) 3D Printing facility, with the point of contact listed as CW3 Adams. The sign is mounted on a wooden post and points to the right, with military-style shipping containers visible in the background. The setting appears to be a military forward operating base or installation.

194th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 2nd Sustainment Brigade, 520th Support Maintenance Company is home to the Army’s first 3D printer, located on Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea. The printer is stored in a conex, which is ideal for rapid deployment to units in need. For the next year, the Research Development Engineering Command will evaluate how easily the process of 3D printing, or additive manufacturing, allows 520th SMC to generate parts.
