Garlin Murl Conner lived a quiet life on a farm in Southern Kentucky. His neighbors and even his family did not know the extent of his valorous acts during World War II until years after his death. Conner will be awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously in a White House ceremony June 26, 2018. The award will be presented to his widow, Pauline.
