    PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2018) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Fernando Monserraterivera, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, checks the temperature of a terminal on a new arresting gear wire on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Arresting gear wires are replaced every 125 traps to prevent structural damage. John C. Stennis is underway preparing for its next scheduled deployment.
