    Rapid Intervention Battalion (RIB) Completes Medical Training Taught By U.S. Soldiers

    Djiboutian soldiers with the Rapid Intervention Battalion (RIB) complete medical training taught by U.S. Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 141st Infantry Regiment (1-141 IN), Texas Army National Guard, and await their certificate of completion at a training compound near Djibouti City, Djibouti, Dec. 20, 2018. The RIB is a Djiboutian army elite military force crisis response unit. The mission of the 1-141 IN is to rapidly deploy in response to any crisis threatening U.S. personnel or property throughout Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, and to contribute to international efforts to enhance security and stability in East Africa by providing security force assistance and fostering the capabilities of partner nations.
