Recruiting Substation Myrtle Beach poolee Michael Campofiori explains what he overcame to earn a chance to go to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, for the chance to become a U.S. Marine. Campofiori, from Brick Township, New Jersey, has been wanting to become a Marine ever since he was a child, but at the age of 11, he was diagnosed with Leukemia, a medical condition that threatened not only his possibility of joining the Marine Corps, but his life.
