KOORIYAMA, Japan (Aug. 25, 2018) – Chief Petty Officer (CPO) selectees from Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi area commands perform Anchors Aweigh during the Tomioka Town Social Welfare Center summer festival. The festival, currently in its 7th year, is held in Kooriyama where citizens from Tomioka relocated to in the aftermath of the March 11, 2011, natural disasters which struck Japan’s Tohoku region. During the festival, NAF Atsugi’s CPO selectees demonstrated U.S. Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force cadences, sang Anchors Aweigh and joined their hosts in various other performances.
