Capt. Felipe Bayona hasty rappels down a slope Dec. 4, 2018 at Jungle Warfare Training Center, Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan. Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, took part in the Basic Jungle Skills Course which included patrolling, rappelling, land navigation and an endurance course. Hasty rappelling gives Marines the ability to travel through hill and bluff ridden terrain. Bayona, the company officer of Bravo Company, 9th ESB, 3rd MLG, is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
