The Honolulu Fire Department recognized Army Capt. Stephen Leverkuhn, commander of C Company, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, and Sgt. 1st Class Robby Batongtong, a platoon sergeant from C Company, 1-27 Inf., 2IBCT, 25ID at a Honolulu Fire Department Commendation Ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii, November 29, 2018 for their actions in helping pull an unconscious man from a burning vehicle. These Soldiers epitomized the Army Value of Selfless Service when they risked their lives by rushing to a burning vehicle to rescue the unconscious driver and performed life-saving CPR on him until Emergency Services arrived and took over.
