Lance Cpl. Joshua Smejkal (left) and Corporal Matthew Chen (right), reconnaissance Marines with 3rd Platoon, Company C, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, have seen the challenges of battle firsthand and use lessons learned through their fight to prepare for what’s next.
