Col. Lisa Miller, chief nursing officer, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, recognizes 1st Lt. Christina Chipman, staff nurse, Medical Ward, WBAMC, as a Light the Way award recipient during the quarterly award presentation at WBAMC, Nov. 15. The Light the Way award recognizes nurses who demonstrate a high level of dedication to duty through their show of care and compassion toward patients and other staff members. The award is a homage to Florence Nightingale's use of a lantern to check on patients throughout the night, dubbing her "The Lady with the Lamp."
