Brent Mortimer, Task Force Michael quality assurance, evaluates a home in Port St. Joe, Florida, to determine if it’s eligible for the Corps of Engineers’ Operation Blue Roof program. Dozens of quality assurance personnel have assessed more than 10,000 homes in the Florida panhandle following Hurricane Michael, resulting in more than 7,000 homes covered with the reinforced plastic sheeting to protect property and allow residents to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm.
