Family members of Medal of Honor recipient U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Alexander Bonnyman Jr., carry a wreath during a memorial ceremony in Betio, Tarawa Atoll, Republic of Kiribati, Nov. 20, 2018. The ceremony marked the 75th anniversary of the landings in Betio that initiated the Battle of Tarawa; it was held to memorialize the shared sacrifice of all who fought there.
