181116-N-DX072-1021 PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (Nov. 16, 2018) Capt. Jon Early, commanding officer of the Royal Australian Navy landing helicopter dock ship HMAS Adelaide (L01), and Capt. Tom Shultz, commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), converse in the helicopter tower of the Green Bay during a tour. Green Bay is in Port Moresby to assist with security efforts ahead of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference and is the second U.S. ship to visit Port Moresby in the last two months. Green Bay is part of Amphibious Squadron 11 and is operating in the region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
