181114-N-DX072-1055 PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (Nov. 14, 2018) Rear Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of Amphibious Force 7th Fleet, speaks to local media crew on the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) during a press conference. Green Bay is in Port Moresby preparing to assist with security efforts ahead of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference and is the second U.S. ship to visit Port Moresby in the last two months. Green Bay is part of Amphibious Squadron 11 and is operating in the region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
