Sgt. Samuel Arbogast, an infantryman with the Mission Command Element in Poznan, Poland, secures additional vehicle equipment on an M1087 FMTV 5 ton expandable van for transport during a tactical command survivability jump training November 2, 2018. The purpose of the exercise is for all Soldiers assigned to the 1ID MCE to understand their duties and responsibilities while operating the division tactical command post.
“We need the training and experience to get the new soldiers up to speed for an actual TAC jump,” Capt. Harrison Fletcher, TAC officer in charge, said.
The MCE will be the operational element for the upcoming Balkans/Black Sea Readiness Exercise in February and contingency operations throughout the 1ID MCE area of operations.
Through continuous, multinational training and security cooperation activities, Atlantic Resolve builds readiness, increases interoperability and enhances the bond between ally and partner militaries. The deployment of ready, combat-credible U.S. forces to Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve is evidence of the strong and unremitting U.S. commitment to NATO and Europe. (U.S. Army photo by: Spc.
