PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (Oct. 27, 2018) Quartermaster Seaman Angelina Gomez, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86), takes a bearing of a visual aid on the bridge wing while the ship pulls into Pago Pago, American Samoa Oct. 27, 2018. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a Secretary of Defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
