181023-N-MC499-0063 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 23, 2018) Seaman Austin Adams handles the phone and distance line aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during a replenishment-at-sea with the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) during the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4 composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise that certifies the combined Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group's and 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit's abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios.
