Command Sgt. Maj. of the National Guard Richard Burch traveled to Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan to speak to deployed National Guard soldiers about upcoming changes in structure, funding, and personal responsibility inherent in both. The relaxed nature of his visit prompted a very open question and answer session that was both rewarding to him and the soldiers he visited.
