A U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet (modality number 110) is captured in a dramatic rear-facing shot during a carrier launch over open ocean. The aircraft is in full afterburner, with twin engine exhaust flames visible in color against an otherwise near-monochromatic scene. A Prandtl-Glauert condensation cloud (vapor cone) is visibly forming around the wings and fuselage, indicating high-speed, high-humidity conditions.
