Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Program, the Hon. Ricky “R.D.” James, visited Ice Harbor Dam on October 16, 2018, in Burbank, Washington. Ice Harbor is one of the eight dams located in the Walla Walla District. They toured the Lock which is a single-lift lock, 86 feet wide by 675 feet long, with a 100-foot vertical lift. Traffic through the navigation lock consisted of grains, petroleum products, fertilizer, wood products, and miscellaneous cargo that amounted to more than 2.3 million tons.
