PORT OF SUVA, Fiji (Oct. 16, 2018) A student of Fiji Maritime Academy uses binoculars in the pilot house of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) while on a guided tour during Shoup’s recent port visit in Suva, Fiji Oct. 16, 2018. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a Secretary of Defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
