PORT OF SUVA, Fiji (Oct. 15, 2018) Michael Goldman, Charge d’ Affaires, U.S. Embassy in Fiji, delivers a speech during a reception held on the flight deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) during a recent port visit in Suva, Fiji Oct. 15, 2018. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a Secretary of Defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
