Goranka Henegar, the first woman finisher, crossed the finish line of the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon Forward satellite marathon held in Kabul, Afghanistan, Oct. 30, with a time of 4:06:04. Twenty participants began the 26.2-mile race at 6:45 a.m. The course, while flat, was at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level. Henegar, who works for U.S. Agency for International Development, wrapped up her three-year-tour in Afghanistan finishing first in her third MCM Forward event and fourth marathon overall while in-country
