A promotion ceremony was held Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Regional Training Institute in Oklahoma City for Col. Clifton L. Barger, Jr., director of personnel for the Oklahoma Army National Guard, and Shawnee, Oklahoma, native. After 31 years of service to his country and the state of Oklahoma, Barger was promoted to the rank of colonel. "I am a very blessed man," Barger said. "I've met some of the best and most professional Soldiers in the National Guard, and it has been noting more than a privilege."
