WO1 Steven P. Quast, an electronic warfare officer with 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Armored Division, discusses vehicle jamming equipment after analyzing the electromagnetic spectrum Oct. 22 while deployed to Contingency Operating Site Warrior, Iraq. Quast was one of five warrant officers to graduate the Army’s first electronic warfare course at Fort Sill, Okla., last year. Since then, Quast has been working to protect, and support soldiers with various electronic warfare tactics and equipment.
