    The crew aboard the commercial fishing vessel Alaska Ocean prepares to launch its small boat to deliver an ill crewmember to an awaiting boat crew aboard a Coast Guard 47-foot Motor Life Boat from Station Chetco River 10 miles west of Brookings, Ore., Oct. 10, 2018.

    The chief engineer of the Alaska Ocean reportedly suffered a sudden loss of vision and was transported to emergency medical services on shore.
