A spacecraft capsule, identifiable as a Boeing CST-100 Starliner, is being transported on a heavy-duty multi-axle flatbed transporter vehicle on an airfield tarmac. The capsule has just been unloaded from a large military cargo aircraft, likely a C-17 Globemaster III, visible in the background with its rear cargo ramp open. A group of personnel and observers can be seen standing near the aircraft on the left side of the image.

The mock capsule was later pulled out the back of the cargo plane Sept. 12 for its final parachute system test over the U.S. Army’s Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona.
