U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Thomas Cunningham, with Combat Assault Company, 3rd Marine Regiment, operates an amphibious assault vehicle in the waters near Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Oct. 6. Combat Assault Company Marines are participating in Exercise AMERCAL 2011 which is a platoon-level combat arms combined exchange between the French Armed Forces, New Caledonia and U.S. Marines to enhance interoperability, military-to-military relations and improve mutual combat capabilities with French Allies.
