United States Navy Landing Craft Utility 1646 departs from Pier 32 in the San Francisco Bay during the Fleet Week San Francisco 2018, October 2. The LCU was transporting a coastal rescue vehicle with the San Francisco Fire Department to Treasure Island, San Francisco to showcase the United States Navy’s capability to assist various entities during humanitarian assistance or disaster relief situations. This is the 38th iteration of Fleet Week San Francisco which allows the public to interact with service members of the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard, and see various demonstration around the city.
