Staff Sgt. Nathan Newton, 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance technician, and Tech. Sgt. Oralia Howard, 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Group quality assurance chief inspector, present their idea for the Red Tails Commander’s Innovation Challenge, Sept. 28, 2018, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Howard and Newton created a launcher overspray protector for F-15s and F-16s, which would significantly reduce man hours and hazardous waste during rail lubrication.
