Two AV-8B Harrier IIs with Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 311, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, follow a KC-130J Super Hercules with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 352, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, fly over Southern California during the 2018 Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show on MCAS Miramar, Calif., Sept. 29. This year's air show honors "100 years of women in the Marine Corps" by featuring several performances and displays that highlight the accomplishments and milestones women have made since the first female enlistee, Opha May Johnson, who joined the service in 1918.
