Soldiers recovery items left after a container delivery system drop in a Hohenfels training area during Saber Junction 18, Sept. 22. The container delivery system is a commonly used method for the insertion of supplies quickly for military and contingency operations. Saber Junction 18 is a U.S. Army Europe-directed exercuse designed to assess the readiness of the 173rd Airborne Brigade to conduct unified land operations in a joint, combined environment and to promote interoperability with participating Allies and partner nations.
