1st Lt. Taylor Ashmore, assigned to the 155th Air Refueling Wing, Nebraska Air National Guard, conducts pre-flight checks in a KC-135 Stratotanker above Namest Air Base, Czech Republic, during Ample Strike 2018. Ample Strike is a Czech Republic-led live exercise that offers joint terminal attack controllers (JTACs) and close air support (CAS) aircrews advanced air/land integration training in day and night operations. The United States Air Force’s forward presence in Europe allows its forces to work with allies and partners to develop and improve ready air forces capable of maintaining regional security.
