Fort Lee is providing incident base support to roughly 100 ambulance crews from across the nation. The ambulances remain staged in an installation motor pool awaiting FEMA's direction for the Hurricane Florence response and recovery effort. Military installations, like Fort Lee, are called upon in times of disaster as a part of the National Response Framework.
