Members of Gen. Maryanne Miller’s family pin on her fourth star during a promotion ceremony at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Sept. 7, 2018. Following the ceremony, Miller assumed command of Air Mobility Command. Previous to this assignment, Miller served as the commander of Air Force Reserve Command and chief of the Air Force Reserve. Miller became the first Reserve Airman to become a four-star general and the first Reserve Airman to command an Air Force major command outside of AFRC.
