Rory Sackinger, a 22-year-old veteran with 1st Maintenance Battalion, at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital Oct. 7, 2011. Marines, sailors and Coast Guardsmen visited the VA hospital as part of San Francisco Fleet Week. The event is an opportunity for service members to serve the community and showcase equipment, personnel and the ability of the Navy-Marine Corps to respond to a crisis.
