Cpl. Jeffery R. Nagy, ordinance technician with Marine Aircraft Group 49, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, practices vertical knee strikes during the final event of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Course here, Sept. 14, 2011. The 15-day course prepared the Marines for the rigorous final event in which they endured eight hours of combat conditioning, ground fighting, and hiking more than six miles with a full combat load.
