U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Quality Assurance Specialists with the Temporary Emergency Power Planning and Response Teams inspect generators that are installed across the island to ensure they continue to operate properly and provide critical facilities the power they need to operate, September 03, 2018.
FEMA assigned USACE the Temporary Emergency Power Planning and Response mission to assist with assessments, maintenance, and generator installations at critical facilities, including, but not limited to: hospitals, wastewater treatment plants, water purification facilities, fire, and police stations. USACE has received $676 million to date for this mission.
