Members of the Patriot Guard riders talk to U.S. Army Spc. Chris Smith before The Warrior Ride in Hampstead, N.C., Oct. 6, 2011. The Patriot Guard riders provided an escort for the wounded warriors to ensure their safety on the roads. The Warrior Ride is Bob and Debra Racine's way of gathering support for troops returning from Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom and providing recreation and rehabilitation to wounded warriors.
